The first of our two side-by-side educational concerts is in the books. What a thrilling night, the combined forces of our orchestra in Santa Cruz and the Pasadena Youth Symphony sharing the stage in acoustically superb recital hall here in Santa Cruz. More than 100 musicians on stage playing the thrilling, deep, passionate, and exciting bars of Tchaikovsky’s 4th symphony start to finish. All that youthful energy really let loose in the finale! I think more than a few people “woke up” to the big finish, hahaha!
