PETROUCHKA

Dig a little deeper into Stravinsky at this concert with his Carnival piece, “Petrouchka,” the story of puppets brought to life. We also welcome pianist Henry Kramer for his first appearance with the ASO where he will bound his way through Beethoven’s 4th piano concerto. The second movement is said to be Orpheus as he tames the furies at the gates into Hades, but the contrasting finale captures some of Beethoven’s happiest and most delightful music.
