Tanglewood: Bernstein and Sibelius Jul 14, 2018 Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI) Young Artists Orchestra Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI) is a program of Boston University College of Fine Arts. Drawing more than 400 instrumentalists, singers, and composers from across the country and around the world, it is recognized as a premier summer training program for aspiring young musicians, ages 10 to 20. Each season, BUTI presents more than 100 free concerts and community performances in Lenox, including six performances at Tanglewood’s Seiji Ozawa Hall. Aug 19, 2017 Approximately 90 of the finest public and private high school musicians in New York State are selected through auditions to study and rehearse for a month with the world-class musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra. These high school students comprise the second symphony orchestra in residence at Saratoga. The School of Orchestral Studies, which is co-sponsored by the New York State School Music Association(link is external), the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and the Philadelphia Orchestra Association.
