Our shared musical heritage is perhaps best summed up by folk songs. Two great composers showed how they are inspired by their distinct folk heritage, Tchaikovsky’s Ukrainian inspired “Dance” symphony and Beethoven’s youthful first symphony, with with their infectious fiddle music.
