“Scheherazade” closes TCSO Season

Here in Visalia, we played “Scheherazade” 7 years ago, during my first season. Revisiting this work last week was an absolutele joy. And wow, wow, wow, the improvement of this orchestra over that time! I can’t say enough about the talented and committed, musical members of this group. Along with our surprise piece Tchaik’s “Romeo and Juliet,” I was struck how deep and warm the string playing was, and the compelling storytelling that was everywhere in the group. The audience could feel it too…so quiet during the breaks between movements…truly a “rapt” silence. Bravo to all!
