The Tulare County Symphony opened their 57th season with a bang this past weekend, with a great performance of “Billy the Kid” and the Edgar Meyer Violin Concerto. What an incredible treat to here Alexi kennel on the world famous Stradivarius violin that premiered the Brahms Concerto 150 years ago. Wow! Wow! Wow! The new orchestral shell brought out lots of inner lines and showcased the beautiful playing of so many of our orchestra members. What a treat and a tribute to the hard work and generosity of all the donors who made it possible! Perhaps my favorite comment on Facebook from a concert-goer: “The shell made such a difference in the richness of the music.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Bravo, All!
